If you need another you'll have to choose an entirely different character. Only one of each character type can be loaded into a scene for instance if you need two soldiers (one of the included characters), you can only add one. The more I try to use this the more I realize it's pretty bad. star star_border star_border star_border star_borderĭaveBarak's Review of Shotpro Reviewed on 11/1/19 2:14 PM Hopefully a desktop version and live edit version will be in the works so that we can share with others working on the same project that will ultimately be the app of the century that no filmmaker can do without.ĭon't bother with this app, it's nearly useless. I am waiting for the update to add more to this already great app. The Ipad and Iphone accessibility is a huge asset. I use it everyday to pre-plan projects while I'm on the go. Aside from the larger storyboarding programs out there, this is a blessing. The camera and lighting options, that may I add, are keyframable and incredibly helpful to set up shots so that you can visualize and prepare for days on set. It contains options like lighting controls, backgrounds that are also importable, a multitude of characters and props to choose from. You can go from a standard single storyboard idea to an actual story video-board that is exportable for anyone to see your project start to come to life. The app is very intuitive and it's ease of use requires little to no learning curve to be able to board your ideas. As for the app itself, it has been a long time coming that an app such as this has been available to the independent filmmakers out there who need an on the go way of storyboarding in a visceral way. They respond quickly to comments, recommendations and questions. Outstanding App!!!! star star star star starĪv4798's Review of Shotpro Reviewed on 11/1/19 2:14 PMįirst off may I say that the developers are great guys and very sincere. One of our associates has a Surface Book 2, she asked if you willfully consider releasing for Microsoft so she can invest. I will keep buying DLC, Objects, as long as you keep ShotPro, updated, quality of life changes, and making my life easier with producing visualization. I’m familiar with Unity, so this being 3D is perfect and right up my alley with X,Y,Z axis. We are piecing out a storyboard for our game we are creating on Unity game engine, we needed a faster way to do so, beyond drawing. This can be done in fraction of time with ShotPro. How sad I am just discovering you, prior I was using Affinity Photo and Rough Animator to create my concepts, I can’t draw, so I would spend hours creating photo effects or searching stock photo. My jaw literally dropped - I came here and bought ASAP! He literally created an entire music video concept on this app and then played it side by side with the final released public commercial video after producing it on your app. How thrilled was I when discovered ShotPro after watching a YouTube channel from a director called Kairhil Bahar, (from a video he shot reviewing your app back in 2015) I was searching for visualization software on iOS today () I just picked this up 3 hours ago and now, 3 hours later N update. And no EDITORS CHOICE? Wow □Ĭan we create objects in Unity, Blender and import here via. Huge potential of zero chances of mistakes when using this app “for any” form of communication. Wow, literally, we get to create a entire vision, from our minds, in real-time. Why is this app NOT IN YOUR EDITORS CHOICE? Lost in Tactics's Review of Shotpro Reviewed on 11/1/19 2:14 PM But I’m willing to be impressed.īy this Pre-Vision app immediately!!!! star star star star star So at this point, I’m $60 in and all I have is a pre-vis tool that doesn’t do anything that I couldn’t do before with my existing software. I’ll post to the forum, but this seems like a pretty fundamental function. There is no documentation that I can find to help me solve this problem. This issue exists on my iPad and my brand new iPhone. There has to be a simple way to reconcile the ground plane - otherwise the AR function is useless. On my iPad Pro, the floor plane hovers about 3 feet in the air - making the scene float above me, rendering my reason for purchasing the app, entirely moot. Unfortunately, I can’t match the ground plane to the floor. I can see the potential of the AR, which is what separates this app from tools like Frame Forge which I also use. That should have been clear pre-purchase. My first disappointment - it’s a $20 add-on, pushing the price from $40 to $60. I purchased this application for its AR capability.
