She’s been certified and teaching in the Boston area since 2003 but once appeared in a 1980s instructional yoga video for kids - complete with a leotard and Princess Leia braids - that still makes her laugh to this day. That perspective informs her teaching, making each class a blend of dynamic, playful, and challenging sequences that quiet the mind while re-energizing the body. I am certified in vinyasa and restorative yoga practices and yoga nidra (guided meditation) practice.Īlthough Genevieve has been practicing yoga since childhood, she still feels the thrill of opportunity and fresh beginnings every time she steps on the mat. My hope is that my students find the space and opportunity for self-reflection, grounding, posture exploration, and, hopefully, a laugh or two whether they are just discovering yoga or experienced yogis. I strive to bring these qualities to the studio. I have found centering, self-compassion, humor in my foibles, and community. Through my practice I have learned that yoga is so much more than a means to stretch and strengthen. If you’ve had a body altering event – childbirth, accident, surgery, whatever – you’ll know what I mean. Years ago I chose yoga as a means to “find my body” after childbirth. She completed her 200-hour vinyasa teacher training through Live Love Teach® with Philip Urso and Renee Deslauriers in 2016. This practice starts with a rigorous, invigorating portion and transitions to sustained, deeply relaxing poses to end class. She teaches synchronized vinyasa which focuses on linking breath and movement. She realized the value of yoga for her patients looking to improve their physical and emotional status, as well as healthy individuals looking to sustain wellness. While working as a physical therapist Kaitlyn realized that yoga was something that she wanted to share. ![]() She continued to use her yoga practice as a tool to find joy in the challenges of life. She received her degree in Kinesiology in 2010 and then went on to receive her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2013. ![]() Kaitlyn always knew she wanted to be a Physical Therapist. Right away she appreciated both the physical challenge of yoga and the contentment it brought to her busy mind. Kaitlyn attended her first yoga class as a teenager tagging along with her older sister. She hopes that you leave her classes feeling empowered, supported, and rejuvenated! She firmly believes that yoga has the ability to bring balance, change perspectives, improve relationships, and enhance overall mental and physical health. Sara loves the way yoga affects every aspect of her life on and off the mat. Sara received her 200-hour certification in 2014 and has been inspired by teaching yoga and leading trainings since. ![]()
